As a member in good standing with the Building Contractors Association (BCA), you will be entitled to participate in any of the following committees. These committees are intended to benefit our member contractors in all aspects of the New York Construction Industry.

MEMBER RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Investigates and reviews all membership applications and submits findings and recommendations to the BCA Board of Directors.

GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Keeps currently informed with all proposed legislation (national, state and local) affecting the business interest of our members. Suggests any actions the Board of Directors should employ.

LABOR RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Acts for the Association in the making of working agreements between the BCA and the Labor Unions recognized by the Association.

INDUSTRY RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Maintains liaison with Architects, Engineers, Owners, and other construction trade associations so that any problems affecting our members are harmoniously resolved.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
Keeps currently informed with respect to the financial condition and requirements of the Association and makes appropriate recommendations to the Board of Directors.

SAFETY COMMITTEE
Promotes safe construction operations to provide protection for construction workers and the general public, through education and accident prevention measures.

PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Promotes a sound public relations program designed to advance the interests of the industry, in general, and the Association, in particular.

POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Responsible for the determining of which legislators or candidates, for public office, the Association should support or oppose and the amount of appropriate financial support to be given.
